'Twas an abstract painting that floundered, which I took to the studio this summer on a whim and turned it into this.
...then it became a Father's Day gift for my Grandpa from an calendrically-challenged grandson.
"Surreal" because the shape in the middle is definitely a bird-like figure. Otherwise I'd put it in "abstract" because the approach was the same as the other two.
...I like to imagine the big orb in the upper third is a blue supergiant star, but the wonderful thing about abstraction is, it could be anything--what matters is it looks pretty
